About domains
Will the domain be registered in my name?
Yes. You are the registrant. We're the registrar you bought through, not the owner. You can transfer it away whenever you want.
How long does a transfer take?
Usually five to seven days for .com and similar extensions, faster for .in. You'll need the auth code from your current registrar, and the domain must not have been registered or transferred in the last 60 days.
Do I lose the time left on my current registration?
No. A transfer adds a year to whatever you already have — it doesn't reset it.
What is privacy protection?
It hides your personal contact details from public Whois lookups, which cuts down cold calls and spam. It's an optional paid add-on on most extensions. Note that .in domains have different rules.
